升級 Windows OS，一些 software 不相容是大部人預計之內，但遠遠估不到 family discount 的 installation key 不能用作安裝，真是個天大笑話。

我最近才知有 Software for Starving Students 這個網站，將不同類型的 Open Source Software / Freeware 集成 CD image，例如 browser、image tool、disc burning、anti-virus software 等等，原意是幫一些窮苦學生節省金錢，但其實所有人都可以 download，當然每個軟件都可自行 download，但只需 download 一次便可得到這些軟件當然較為方便，最新版本是 2007.01，分 Mac 和 Windows 兩個版本，大家可以參考這個 FAQ 知道有什麼軟件在內。

第一個使用 WebKit rendering engine 的 Windows Browser - Swift 推出 0.1 Alpha 版本，WebKit 是一個 Open Source rendering engine，亦是現今 Apple OS X browser Safari 使用的，本著一嘗 WebKit 的能力，alpha version 也下載來一試，發現果然是 alpha version，功能缺少不在話下，有些 bugs 令到不能測試清楚，例如只能顯示英文，中文會變成方格，而 WebKit 是第一個通過 Acid2 Test 的，所以便想一試，但居然 Take The Acid2 Test 的鏈結沒有反應等等，還是要等待遲些的版本才能一嘗 WebKit 的能力了，或者遲些有機會購入 Mac 後再試吧。

Apple 的 Boot Camp，相信有留意 Apple 消息都會知道它是官方的軟件，支援安裝及執行 Windows XP 的，有人在 Flickr 上載了使用 Boot Camp 安裝 Windows XP 繁體中文版的照片"一機雙吃 / Boot Camp"。
