Engadget 報導了一部由新加坡的 the National University of Singapore 內的兩位大學生 Wendy Chua 及 Gabriel Tan 發明的一部概念版家用免水洗衣機，使用負離子、壓縮空氣及防臭劑來清洗衣物，而且不需要用清潔劑便可以清除衣物上的污跡，我都有點期待這機器將來可以量產，因為一來節省用水，二來再不用光顧乾洗店，簡直一舉兩得。
