在差不多三個月前我曾談及 WordPress 2.1 Alpha 的全文 feed 與 More tag的問題，我在 WordPress Trac 內起的 ticket 2582 一直都沒有受到關注，但因為我覺得對我影響頗大，所以我嘗試自行修改。

我的 feed 是全經 Feedburner 處理的，所以我知道平均每天大約有 380 人次閱讀我的 blog，但剛剛發現數目突然大了一百倍以上，現在是 51299 人次，實在非常嚇人，雖然應該出現問題才有這個數目，但我的虛榮心作崇，就這樣 capture 了這個值得紀念的時刻。

再到 feedburner 檢查一下這五萬多人次是從所裡來，居然是 Netvibes，究竟在 Netvibes 發生什麼事？居然會有五萬多人次從那裡來。

WordPress 用家如有留意我這個 blog 的話，會發現我現在使用的版本並不是 2.0.2，而是 2.1 Alpha 版本，我是一直跟著最新 Subversion (SVN) 版本走的。

一直都相安無事的，但最近發現了一個問題，這個問題會影響同時使用全文 feed 及 <!--more--> tag（以下簡稱 more tag）的用家，在未談及這個問題前，我要談談 WordPress 1.5.x 及 2.0.x 版本在全文 feed 時遇到有 more tag 時的處理手法。

在這兩個系列版本中，就算文章中有 more tag，全文 feed 都會顯示整篇文章的內容，但在我現在使用中的 WordPress 2.1 Alpha，全文 feed 是不會顯示 more tag 以後的內容，這有違我對 WordPress 全文 feed 的理解，全文 feed 在任何情況底下都應該顯示全文內容，而不應和 more tag 有任何關係的，雖然 more tag 的使用並不是必要的，但對一些 theme 來說，使用 more tag 會令 blog 版面顯示起來更簡潔。

因為這個處理方法無疑會令到使用 more tag 的用家失去全文 feed 的價值，所以我在 WordPress Trac 中開了一張 Ticket 2582 談及有關問題，如果支持無論何時全文 feed 都應顯示全文內容，請大家在那 ticket 內發表自己的看法，在 WordPress Trac 發表言論的首要條件是有 WordPress Support Forum 的戶口，沒有的話，請到 WordPress Support Forum 內登記戶口。

我轉用了 NewsAlloy 已經個多月，我已經完全沒有使用 Bloglines 來閱讀 feed 了，現今繼續使用 Bloglines 的原因只不過是因為我現時使用的 Blogroll plugin 是靠 Bloglines 來維持。

說說為何我會轉用 NewsAlloy 吧，一來 Bloglines 之前間中有暫停服務的時候，二來 loading 實在太慢了，有點忍受不了，所以便找尋另一個 online RSS reader，之前試用過 Rojo，及後不記得在那一個外國 blog 提及使用 Ajax 技術的 NewsAlloy，所以便一試，後果正如上段文字所講，已經不需用 Bloglines 來閱讀 feed 了。

Feedburner 推出了 FeedFlare 服務，FeedFlare 可以令 feed 內每一篇文章的附加以下功能：

1. most popular tags for this item via del.icio.us
2. tag this item at del.icio.us
3. Technorati cosmos: number of links to this post
4. Creative Commons license for this specific item. This works even if you are splicing, say, a Flickr photo feed into a blog feed and the two parent feeds have different licenses associated with them.
5. number of comments on this post (currently only for feeds created by Wordpress)
6. email this item
7. email the author of this item (particularly helpful if the item ends up spliced into another feed or repurposed on a site).
