iStalkr 一個 Lifestream service，何謂「Lifestream」？Lifestream 是 Jeremy Keith 之前提出來的一個概念，現今人與 Internet 的關係愈來愈密切，使用很多網上服務，尤其是一些 Web 2.0 服務，例如 Twitter、del.icio.us、Flickr、Last.fm 等等的服務，每次使用都會記下當時的日期時間，如果將有關的 feed 整合一起，便可構成一個人的網上活動時間表，亦即是一個人在網上留低的腳印和痕跡，而 iStalkr 就是提供這樣的服務。
Jeremy 在談及 Lifestream concept 時亦提供了一段 PHP code 用來將有關的 feed 整合，而 Chris J. Davis 亦將 Jeremy 提供的 PHP code 轉成 Lifestream WordPress plugin，但因為使 PHP 和 WordPress 的關係，不是所有人都可用到，現在 iStalkr 正正填補了這個缺陷。
登記戶口後，跟著便要設定有關自己使用服務的 feed URL，有一點要記著的是雖然 iStalkr 可以設定任何 feed，但它不是一個 feed reader，如果加一些和自己沒關係的 feed 便會令 lifestream 失去意義。iStalkr 除了可了整合自己的網上行蹤外，當然還提供一些 social network 功能，例如可以加入其他 iStalkr 的用家成好友，追踪其他人的 lifestream，還可以用 widget 將自己的 lifestream 顯示在網頁上，雖然現時的 widget 還很簡陋，但還算可以用的，如大家有興趣的話可到訪我的 iStalkr 頁面。
there are actually loads of similar services out there already, the most notable ones being Tumblr , Jaiku and Suprglu .
in particular Tumblr allows mapping of domain so you can use your own domain name for the service. not sure if istalk does this too? but perhaps it's too early to ask as it's still a raw service? =p

forgot to mention, that one of the main issues people are facing with the wordpress plugin is the lack of caching capability (though Elliot Black made one with caching, few if any people got it to work. even if it worked, everything loads one one page without pagination which takes ages to load).
hopefully developers would make use of iStalkr's api to create some sort of plugin or other tools for blog integration!!!
@laihiu：你說的 Tumblr、Jaiku 和 Suprglu 雖然可以透過 feed aggregation 功能來顯示 lifestream，但和 iStalkr 有本質上的差異，Tumblr 和 Jaiku 是 microblogging 平台，而 Suprglu 則完全是個 feed aggregator，不似得 iStalkr 這個打正旗號的 lifestream 服務，我自己偏好一些專門做某一種服務的 Web 2.0 公司，簡約就是美吧。
雖然這些資料都己放上網，但把這些許多東西都集中在同一個地方，特別是不明來歷的公司，總讓我有點不安呢！還是用 WordPress plugin 自己攪好

我就覺得 feed 內容都是一些公開的資料，並不是什麼秘密的東西，所以集中在同一地方也不覺得有什麼問題，況且接著一些新的應用都是建基於 feed 的 aggregation / mashup，就當是一種貢獻吧。
