Google 和 Sun Microsystems 合作終於公佈了，原來只是將 Google Toolbar 以選擇性下載形式包括在 Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 內，沒有 Ajax，沒有 Web 版軟件，沒有 Office Suite，真的可謂雷聲大雨點小。

但在公佈中 Google 的 CEO Eric Schmidt 說了以下的說話：

"Google and Java are two of the most widely recognized technology brands because they provide users with online tools that enhance their lives on a day to day basis. The Google Toolbar offers useful Internet search services while Java enables richer interactive content. We look forward to exploring other related areas of collaboration"

說不定遲些可能會看到其他方面的合作。
